đ Announcing the Cybersecurity Market Pulse Intel Hub đ
A place for all of your security intelligence needs
Iâm thrilled to announce the launch of the Cybersecurity Market Pulse Intel Hub! It's a centralized repository for cybersecurity and software research reports. Carefully curated from a diverse range of over 50 sources (and growing!), including security vendors, cloud providers, venture capital firms, and non-profits, the hub streamlines access to crucial information on market and product trends, enterprise security developments, and the latest threats and threat actors.
The Intel Hub was born out of the constant need of me having to go hunt down a specific data point to help me bolster a product brief, a presentation, or a debate. I know that others may use this research as market validation, to help determine a Go-To-Market Strategy or to help assess a product-market fit. Others may use this research for marketing purposes or to make better-informed investment decisions whether it be investing in a company or deciding where to spend their security budget. At the end of the day, this data is invaluable to many of us but we shouldn't have to hunt it down every time.
Here are some of the most intriguing findings, in my opinion:
đ¤1.35M GitHub Authors accidentally exposed a secret in 2022. - GitGuardian
đ 36% of organizations that use S3 have at least one publicly exposed bucket, representing 2 percent of all S3 buckets. - Datadog
đ¨35% of companies assessed have workloads across two cloud providers with 22% leveraging three cloud providers. - Wiz
đ°92% of organizations report a rise in their IT security budgets for 2023. - Pentera
đŽA typical company with 10,000 employees has over 350 SaaS applications in its stack - Adaptive Shield
đ¨ Over 70% of DevOps teams release code as frequently as once a day. - GitLab
đ¤68% of non-human identities have access to sensitive data. - CyberArk
đ§ 58% of respondents are currently taking medication for their mental health. 49% are currently seeing a therapist. - Tines
đ 90% of granted permissions are not used - Sysdig
đ¤ 62% of system intrusion incidents came through an organizationâs partner - Verizon
While acknowledging that the data points in these reports might be somewhat biased due to the interests of their respective sources, the unique insights provided offer a comprehensive and unparalleled visibility into market trends, the shifting threat landscape, and product advancements. These organizations have direct access to real-world customer environments and they survey thousands of respondents, this ensures that the data comes from the "trenches" and itâs a scope of perspective we wouldn't have otherwise.
Most importantly, researchers, data scientists, and other experts work tirelessly to compile this invaluable research so itâs only right to continue highlighting their work after the research release date. To access the Intel Hub, click here or find the "Intel Hub" tab atop this page.
